I think the original point was that Kean was supposed to restore the wall as far back as 2008, in fact Zach pointed that out in an earlier post and obviously nothing has happened except demolition by neglect, a common development tool and clearly underway here. It's too easy to blame the developer for the condition of the wall. The facts are that the wall has not been kept up since the Phipps family tore down the main house years ago. One only has to look up Zach's pictures from earlier years to verify this. One may wish they'd do more to stablize it, but it was already an expensive to repair wreck when Kean bought it.The Down East Dilettantehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13950254669198151850noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6807386654523336456.post-64695119495852738532015-12-04T13:32:31.041-05:002015-12-04T13:32:31.041-05:00Off topic but relative to the continued destructio...Off topic but relative to the continued destruction of historic properties on Long Island. archi

http://www.27east.com/news/article.cfm/Southampton-Village-Surrounding-Areas/132108/Bouwerie-Mansion-Meets-The-Wrecking-Ball

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6807386654523336456.post-9924180513708762332015-12-04T09:43:40.582-05:002015-12-04T09:43:40.582-05:00Still crumbling away, neglected and deteriorated, ...Still crumbling away, neglected and deteriorated, under the watchful eye of the "preservation minded" John Kean Construction. archibuffAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
