'Peacock Point'

The first 'Peacock Point', the Charles Otis Gates estate designed by Charles A. Rich of Lamb & Rich c. 1902 in Lattingtown.  Gates was president of the Royal Baking Power Company and professor of English literature at Adelphi College.  He died in 1906 and his widow would go on to build 'Dormer House' in Lattingtown.  'Peacock Point' was demolished in 1914 and replaced with a Walker & Gillette house by the same name for H.P. Davison seen HERE.

'Peacock Point'

'Peacock Point', the estate of Henry Pomeroy Davison Sr., built by Walker & Gillette between 1914-16 in Lattingtown. Davison was a financier and Senior Partner at J.P. Morgan, and was the chairman of the Red Cross during WWI. The house was demolished in 1962 but click HERE to see what remains of 'Peacock Point'.
