Strawbridge was a partner in the investment firm of Reynolds, Fish & Company, was a prominent polo player in the '20s and '30s (rated at 9 goals) and served as chairman of the United States Polo Association for two decades. He married Florence J. Loew, granddaughter of George F. Baker and daughter of William Goadby Loew who lived next door at 'Loewmoor'. The James M. Townsend Estate

The James Mulford Townsend estate with alterations by William Lawrence Bottomley (under Hewitt & Bottomley) in Mill Neck. Townsend was a senior member of the law firm of Townsend & Button and was well known as a corporation lawyer in NYC. The E.E. Bartlett Residence

The Edward E. Bartlett residence, designed by Hewitt & Bottomley c. 1915 in Amagansett. Bartlett was a former partner at Merrill, Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith and was president of the NY Cotton Exchange from 1923-25. Bartlett died in the house at the age of 75 in 1961. Subsequently owned by Faris Russell, a partner with the investment firm of White, Weld & Co. and chairman of the board and president of Ward Banking Co.. Lynrose
