'Dosoris Park'
A 1916 article from Country Life in America by Benjamin Goodrich on 'Dosoris Park', the Pratt family complex of estates at the northern end of Glen Cove, begun in 1891. All of the Pratt houses are mentioned along with the 'Oval' and stables. 'Manor House'
'Manor House', the John Teele Pratt estate designed by Charles A. Platt c. 1909 in Glen Cove. Following the death of J.T. Pratt's wife the house became a hotel and conference center, adding large modern wings on the rear of the house (which destroyed most of its charm). Included in the plans were formal gardens, a garden pavilion, garage and stable, laundry outbuilding, a children's playhouse, and a camp on the Sound.
