Muttontown Meadows / Nassau Hall

Originally built for Bronson Winthrop by Delano & Aldrich c. 1903 in Muttontown.  Bronson later had the firm build him another house down the road, and his brother Egerton took possession of this house and gave it the name 'Muttontown Meadows'.  This was one of Delano & Aldrich's first commissions on Long Island.  Today the house is part of the Muttontown Preserve, and has the name of 'Nassau Hall'.  Click HERE to see 'Nassau Hall' on google earth.

The house is due for a new coat of paint this coming fall.

The u-shaped stables.  One side is the actual stables, one side is a barn, and the center portion is a cottage.

There are a few random garden elements scattered around the property, including the carved marble basin from Knollwood.

The carved marble basin is now missing. Where did it go?
