Above is a picture of half of 'Applegreen', originally H.P. Whitney and G.V. Whitney's country house by McKim, Mead & White. 'Applegreen' still survives in a somewhat smaller fashion as a private residence, and the stables and a house (pictured below) from the estate also still stand today.
