Marjorie Post and her husband Edward Hutton commissioned Marian Coffin to design the landscape at 'Hillwood'. Outside the house sits the 'English Brick Garden'.

Coffin also designed the 'Rose Arbor', which sits behind the walled garden. It is 175 feet long.
