Harbor Hill's Main Gate

The original main gate to Clarence Mackay's 'Harbor Hill' in Roslyn, designed by Stanford White.  Below is the gate as it looked in it's day, with the original clock attached in the center.

Notice below the shingles around where the clock would have been on the roof do not match the rest of the shingles as it looks today.  I wonder what ever happened to the clock.

The main residence of Clarence and Katherine Mackay, designed by Mckim, Mead & White from 1899-1905.  Click HERE for more on the house.
