The main gate to 'Harbor Hill', the
Clarence Mackay estate designed by McKim, Mead & White c. 1900 in
Roslyn. Below is the gate as it looked in its day with the original clock attached in the center.

Notice below the shingles around where the clock would have been on the roof do not match the rest of the shingles as it looks today. I wonder what ever happened to the clock.

If you use http://siris-archives.si.edu/ you can sometimes fond old or new pictures of the old mansions. It's a little hit and miss but i find it to be help. There are alot of pictures of Harbor Hill if you type in Clarence Mackay.
