Builtover

Built c. 1905 for Martha Willets (of the Quaker Willets family) in Roslyn. Charles Crooke Auchincloss purchased the house, 'Builtover', c. 1916 and had the Olmsted Brothers do the landscaping c. 1917 and the firm of Peabody, Wilson & Brown design alterations to the house in 1925. Today the house is named 'Whispered Wishes' and operates as the North Shore Child and Family Guidance Center. Click HERE to see 'Builtover' on google earth.
