My Mother, Maggie Crawford from Scotland, worked as a Cook for the Jennings from 1925 to 1940, in 1940 she married my Dad. The Jennings gave my Mom a Wedding gift of $500 in 1940. She used this money to put a down payment on a house in Bayside when houses were selling for $4000. A Very generous gift. I have visited the area many times but it is all broken into many estate. I can only relate that they were special and generous people!

I used to go here as a child. It was during the 60's and 70's the Jennings estate was at this time Burrwood the industrial homie for the blind. My Cousin was staying there.I really enjoyed the beautiful home and gardens.Today 7/10/2017 seeing the old gates brought back a flood of memories, sad to see that the old estate is gone... Does anybody know what year the house was taken down?
