'Frost Mill Lodge'

The front of 'Frost Mill Lodge', the Irving Brokaw estate in Mill Neck.

I think the treatment of the front door and frame is very suave.

I love the sophisticated folly of this house. Its urbane Recency facade seems more like something one might see in the city but totally desirable as a chic country house. I can imagine the Forecourt very austere in pea gravel right up to the walls of the house with a few key box or yew plantings. What a dream project it would be to restore a house of this quality and style. Thank you for sharing so many images of this fantastic house!
