Rynwood

'Rynwood' was built for Sir Samuel Agar Salvage c. 1927 by Roger Harrington Bullard in Old Brookville. Salvage was chairman of the board of the American Viscose Corp. and was considered to be the father of the Rayon industry in America. The house consisted of over 75 acres and had landscaping by Ellen Biddle Shipman. In 1980 Banfi Vintners purchased and restored the estate and turned it into their international headquarters.
