Windy Hill

'Windy Hill', the residence of Lansing Parmelee Reed, designed by Charles A. Platt in Cold Spring Harbor c. 1926. Reed was a successful attorney whose clients included J.P. Morgan. A beautiful home. They used to remove the furniture from downstairs rooms, put into moving vans and park on property when they'd have large parties. I lived in the guest cottage to the south in the woods looking over CSH in college. They were wonderful people, and luckily the beautiful home is still there.
