'Oak Hill', the Arthur Scott Burden estate designed by John Russell Pope c. 1915 in Brookville. Burden was president of Burden Iron Works located in Troy, NY. He suffered a polo accident on his estate in 1921 which resulted in his death. His widow, Cynthia Burke-Roche eventually married Guy Fairfax Carey Sr., giving the house the name 'Oak Hill' and using it as their country home. The estate was demolished in the 1950's.
