The residence of
Edward J. Rickert designed by
Charles P.H. Gilbert c. 1908 in
Kensington in
Great Neck. Rickert was president of the
Rickert-Finlay Realty Company which was responsible for the development of such planned communities as Douglas Manor, Little Neck and Broadway-Flushing in Queens as well as
Kensington in Great Neck.
E.J. Rickert's partner
Charles E. Finlay also had a home in
Kensington named '
Kenwood'. Rickert's home no longer stands, having been demolished c. 1960.
