Lovely to see a place maintained as it should be still----and interesting to compare the twin pavilions with yesterday's.

Interesting buildings...do you know what's inside or how they're actually used?

Erchless has always been one of my favorites. Although far from an architectural tour-de-force, it has a timeless quality that harks back to the Gatsby era.

Zach, does it still retain its original acreage, or has it been subdivided at all? The well preserved vista from the rear has always fascinated me.

Does anyone know why they got rid of that beautiful fountain on the north side of the pool? I thought it added a graceful elegance....to be replaced by a simple shrub.....

fountain is still there

Where? The current photo's do not match the 1936 photos. There is a maybe either a marble or concrete railing leading down to what looks like a marbel fountian with a sort of greenman face in a small brick encloser to the north side of the pool on the rear facade of the house. I was only there a few months ago for a garden tour and did not notice it.
