Had to be alittle unworldly to move into the Meudon neighborhood and see the enormous mansion still occupied, but sitting forlorn and tired beyond the large expanse of the great lawn. With it's terraced gardens overgrown and unkept and remnants of its past glory still evident, there had to be a certain saddness overhanging the entire estate during this time. This post and the previous photos have been a wonderful time capsule of sorts, documenting the short life span that many of these homes had from their heyday to the bulldozer.

Regarding the AA pilot who took this photograph -- where there is one there are many ... but, how to find them?

DFP...in this case the pilot was Ann's father (provider of pictures) who would build a house on the estate...which I'm sure was why we photographed this specific location...but I do agree...there are definitely many others out there....somewhere.
