I guess that air conditioning has sent the once ubiquitous canvas awning the way of the Dodo Bird. But to my mind they add a summertime charm that's hard to beat.

Also as seen in yesterdays post, the lush landscaping out front and here overflowing planters and flower beds really complete the look of the house.
