I love this house. The carvings
inside and out look like a movie set. I could be happy there.

Has always been a showplace from the road but the estate must have fallen on hard times or into foreclosure as its grown quite unkempt over the past few years

Wonderful house, completely intact. Owned by same family .mother/ daughter, active preservationist/conservationist for many years.Family put an easement with North Shore Land Alliance on property which adjoins wonderful mill pond and Tiffany Creek Preserve. While not immaculate, hardly unkempt in my opinion. Mother had been ill for quite some time and recently passed away. House will be for sale and we should keep our fingers crossed regarding proper buyer. In many ways one of the NS's most unique properties.
I have been researching the woodworker Karl von Rydingsvard for some years now; along the way I discovered that Sewell and Fleetwood are key components of his story. An anonymous post of March 11 describes Fleetwood as being “completely intact,” but also about to come on the market. If it is not already too late, I would like to arrange to document the original interior furnishings before they are dispersed. Please contact me with information as to how to contact the owners at rolined@gmail.com. Thank you.
