'Waldene'
'Waldene', the Walter G. Oakman estate designed by Grosvenor Atterbury c. 1900 in Roslyn. Click HERE for more on 'Waldene' and to see a brochure from when the estate was for sale. The residence has since been demolished.

An FYI moment, seems all the links are to Oakman's obit.
Is it me or does this home lack the hallmarks of it being designed by Grosvenor Atterbury? It seems so rigid and stoic without the interesting organic flavor he's best known to introduce.
