I always loved this house and thought I had seen every postcard of it. One of the most beautiful estates on Long Island's Gold Coast. Too bad it burned in the 1960s.

Too bad indeed, due to careless workers/roofers
It would have been ruined anyway...isn't that estate SUNY Old Westbury now? College's rarely take care of their historic buildings.
