Hempstead House / Castlegould

Howard Gould had his castle built in Sands Point c. 1909 by Richard Howland Hunt of Hunt & Hunt. Built up against the water, the rear of the house has a commanding view of the Long Island Sound. In 1917, Daniel Guggenheim purchased the estate and built his family's compound on the property. Click HERE to see 'Hempstead House' on google earth.

Zach, this--next to 'Killenworth' is maybe my favorite estate on this page. Do you have any internal shots, or, better yet, a floor plan? I'd love to see.

Thanks.
