When Foxhall P. Keene's 'Rosemary Hall' in Old Westbury was pictured HERE last summer the house was still awaiting the four Corinthian columns that support the portico to be reinstalled. The renovation seems complete as the columns have been put up and the house once again looks as it did 100 years ago.

When Foxhall P. Keene's 'Rosemary Hall' in Old Westbury was pictured HERE last summer the house was still awaiting the four Corinthian columns that support the portico to be reinstalled. Is this the same Rosemary once owned by Jay Carlisle?
I show a Jay Carlisle owning a Mediterranean style villa designed by Towbridge & Ackerman (they did Killenworth) c. 1917 in East Islip. It says it was demolished at some point, though it does not supply a name for the estate.
The only other Rosemary I know of is Rosemary Farm, the Roland Conklin estate, which can be found on here under the Lloyd Harbor tag.

The Jay Carlisle estate was called Rosemary too ... rather Rosemary, instead of Rosemary Hall ...
This just put the biggest smile on my face. I link through from Gilded Age Mansions on Facebook, expecting to see a total ruin. What a tremendous surprise.
