A brochure advertising '
Ormston', the
John Edward Aldred estate in
Lattingtown designed by
Bertram Grosvenor Goodhue between 1913-18. Henry W. Rowe designed the two gatehouses, outbuildings, stables, farm complex and bathhouse and the
Olmsted Brothers were responsible for extensive landscaping. Aldred was the president of
Baltimore Light & Power Co. and was involved with numerous other utility companies. In 1940 a financial setback forced Baltimore Light & Power to take over possession of the estate. Today it operates as the
Saint Josaphat's Monastery. Click
