The Ring Lardner Residence
The Ring Lardner residence, designed by J. Curtis Lawrence c. 1927 in East Hampton. Lardner was a well known sports columnist and short story writer and friend of F. Scott Fitzgerald. Lardner died in this home in 1933 at the age of 48. The house suffered hurricane damage in 1931 and was moved further back from the dunes. boy, when they move something back from the dunes, they don't fool around. 33 was a bad year i guess. tiffany also died in 33.
whats up with the place next door and that featureless fenced in lawn. doesn't leave the lardner cottage much frontage.
