Nice weekend project to volunteer and help maintain the remnants of Broad Hollow House. As a fan of LIGC estates if I had the opportunity to surround myself with the aura of the place I would jump at the chance. The buildings are on a slow decline - they are doomed if they don't put some money into it. They should fix the place up, invite the Queen or one of the Prince's as a gesture to the estates past and hold a polo match in the renovated field.
This entrance facade has a lot of charm and belies the size of the overall stable complex. Looks like it was the same brick as the house too ???
and a brick barn is delightful with the deepset classical windows. at least it still exists but sure could use some help. whoever did that roof could use a couple of pointers on shingling. it would make a nice house with a courtyard.

I went to BOCES there in the late '70's for large animal care. It was wonderful! I now actually ride on the old Westbury campus. There are still remnants of gardens along the bridle paths---
I went to school here (BOCES) Conservation graduated in 1974. We did a survey for a horse track while I was there. Still have my survey book. I also worked there after school and weekends doing maintenance. Loved that place.
