The Indoor Tennis Court at 'Crossroads'

The indoor tennis court at 'Crossroads', the William Russell Grace Jr. estate designed by James O'Connor c. 1919 in Old Westbury.  Click HERE and HERE for more on 'Crossroads'.  The exterior was recently repaired but is already showing signs of wear.

I just had a thought: wouldn't it be great to arrange for a weekend symposium with lectures and tours on the architecture of these old estates? Can you do it, Zach?

If only I had the keys to all these private residences.

Zach if you did have all the keys you would let us tag around, right? ;>

John Foreman (bigoldhouses blog) has a few scans of the estate brochure on his site from an entry back in Dec 2011:

It was indicated the estate is just 8-acres now. That's a lot of sprawling house and indoor tennis court to be squeezed on a relatively small area and still have an imposing entry gate.

Has the former private race track at the estate since lost?

I don't see any wear...please point out.

Kellsboro -
Thanks for the links. Arlough looks to be the only place left with a private race track.
