Dedicated to the preservation of Long Island's 'gold coast' estates and other things old.

Once the large additions were completed, it transformed this residence into what looks like a classic 19th century summer resort, definitely not very home-like, attractive but commercial looking.
Definitely one of the oddest ducks in the Long Island flock.

Zach, Lands End is gone but the pool is still there, very close to the new road.
Do you know if it will be some sort of amenity for that little subdivision or did the developers leave it for someone else to knock down?
The pool at the former estate known as lands end has to be restored. It can't be demoed, as they won't allow a new pool to be constructed on that same spot on the sea wall. The restored pool will then be behind the new house to be constructed near where Lands End stood .
The Pool and the Pool house will remain and will be part of the house that is built on that Lot. There are 5 Lots in total.
