Why a parking lot in front of the house? To compete with the monstrosity next door?

Sad.

Kinda like the monstrosity next door. To each his own. Front facade is a little bleak however the ocean facade is engaging. Seems like the "new" houses in this area have stayed within height and setback restrictions and don't overwhelm their older neighbors.
