I love what I guess would have been the caretakers house off Wheatly & Elmhirst.
Off subject, Does anyone what estate used to be on the north side of Brookville Road just a bit past the church? There still seems to be part of a brick wall with gate and caretakers cottage, but I can't see that on BING.

Don't know if it's still there, but I was always enchanted by the original red clay tennis court , adjacent, that you used to be able to see from Wheatley road..Beautiful trellis work, surrounding the court. My old family friend grew up next door and had some of the original Whitney gardens in their back yard. I just spoke with him last week and we reminisced about said gardens and growing up amongst such history..his family had a simple 50's farm style , on Wheatley road.. which was sold in the early 90's to a tear down crazy, McMansion type..gardens most likely did not survive either.
